More fondant fun

So after the short masterclass I had playing with fondant to make the Easter bunny cake topper, I decided to test my skills and make a lion!

I bought ready made coloured fondant but in hindsight I probably should’ve mixed some white into the colours as everything looks good in pastel!

I found a picture of a lion caketopper on Pinterest and away I went!
Lessons learned – use more tylo powder in the structural elements. The body of my lion got fatter and fatter over time but doesn’t look too bad overall.

The mane of the lion was time consuming to make and glue on! I also used the same type of foot as the bunny! Gives it a much cuter childlike in my opinion.

Until next time,
